Healthy raising of calves is the basis for an efficiency-oriented and therefore commercial dairy farming. A lot of calves die due to respiratory and intestinal infections.  The main causes are high humidity combined with increased harmful gas concentration, draughts as well as overcrowding in the different areas of the shed (infection pressure). There is no need to accept it.

The housing of the calves should be designed so that the natural immunity and resilience is promoted and strengthened.
