Footbath treatment programs are one of the most popular and effective means of controlling hoof disease. However, these programs often fail due to lack of proper management (they are labor intensive and time consuming). However, with the PediCuRx system, we offer dairy producers a solution to their foot care management program. This system was designed and developed as one unit, including both, technology and chemistry, to provide a complete package which will help maintain healthy hooves.  

Producers have the option of fully-automating the entire footbath process, and can do so with a variety of products (liquids or powders). No matter what size or management style a dairy has, PediCuRx offers solutions to foot care management.

Manual or Automated Technology 
The manual footbath is controlled and operated by the user. Adding the appropriate chemical, pumping the closure bladder, and supplying the water is all done manually.  But, even the manual version is easy to handle. A water manifold and any air compressor can be connected to make the bath as easy as possible to use.  With the automated footbath, after switching the unit on, the entire footbath process occurs automatically. Individual processes, such as water supply, the addition of chemicals, and flushing are all operated by the control unit. Besides labor savings, automated flushing, filling and dispensing helps to assure a more constant efficacy level of the bath.  Depending on the dirtiness of the hooves, the footbath solution should be changed after approximately 150 - 250 cows.

A pre-bath cleans the hooves so that the second bath can treat them.  10-ft long baths allow for "double-dipping" of hooves for greater product effectiveness.	Angled front entry edge makes it easier for the cow to step in the bath for efficient cow throughput, and also diverts flush water away from the bath.	Side shields provide "training wheels" for cows to improve cow flow, and they keep the cows and solution in the bath.	High powered water jets clean the footbath between treatments.  Both baths can be flushed and filled automatically at customized intervals.
